Cédric Blaisbois IS Sex: Très Magnifique!

Artist and film maker Cédric BLAISBOIS out of Paris, France is putting out some amazingly naughty and creative music videos. Merely weeks apart Blaisbois put out a music video for Finland's heavy hitting DJ Huoratron and one for the always sensual Mr. Flash, the Perisian DJ who represents Ed Banger Records. Blaisbois use of sex and creative lighthing make for a pure raw video and his knack for the suprise ending is a great touch. He has an incredible style that I can really appreciate and follow. Both these tracks are unbelievable on their own but put them in the hands of Mr. Blaisbois and..well look for yourselves, its unreal. Believe me, you probably haven't seen music videos like these. Blaisbois absolutely kills it!

WARNING: VERY HOT, VERY NAUGHTY, SOMEWHAT DISTURBING & VERY NOT WORK SAFE/NOT FOR SHELTERED GIRLS...AND FOR BLOB-SAKE TURN UP YOUR F*N SPEAKERS NOW!

Hitchcock On Ecstasy: A Blobtastic Movie Review of 'Body Double'

Ok, I need to get this out...I just watched Brian De Palma's 1984 film Body Double, and loved it! I had first heard about the movie from reading Bret Easton Ellis's 1991 novel American Psycho, which follows the character Patrick Bateman a homocidal maniac on a murderous rampage across upper-class New York City. Patrick Bateman often refers to the movie as one of his favourite, boasting he's seen it some 37 times and often cites his favourite scene from it.
According to Mr.Bateman; "After more stetching exercises to cool down I take a quick hot shower and then head to the video store where I return two tapes I rented on Monday, She-Male Reformatory and Body Double, but I re-rent Body Double because I want to watch it again tonight even though I know I won't have enough time to masturbate over the scene where the woman is getting drilled to death by a power drill since I have a date with Courtney at seven-thirty at Cafe Luxembourg." (Ellis, American Psycho, p. 69.) Ahhh classic Pat Bateman.

So if anyone knows me, and my love for Bret Easton Ellis, and my strange obsession with Patrick Bateman/American Psycho it was only a matter of time before I HAD to see this movie.

Said to be an homage to Alfred Hitchcock's classic suspense thrillers of the past with a touch of De Palma class, Body Heat is embedded with mystery, suspense, nudity, and violence, and an all around great watch. The story follows the protagonist, Jake, a struggling actor who after freezing up on camera while filming a low budget vampire film, comes home to find his girlfriend with another man. Distraught and required to find a new place to live Jake runs into Sam, a fellow actor who offers him a place to live. Sam himself is house-squating at a luxurious house overlooking the Hollywood hills, but has to leave town for an acting gig he got in Seattle. Seeing an opportunity to help a fellow actor and not break his agreement to watch over the house, he asks Jack to sit in for him, and water the plants. While showing off the place Sam also presents Jake with an added bonus to the house-sitting deal, "his favourite neighbour" who performs self-absorbed foreplay in front of a mirror and open blinds across the way. Over the next few days Jake becomes a budding voyeurist and he gradually becomes obsessed with her nightly rituals. However he also begins to unravel more than he bargained for. Peering from his pirtched bachelor pad, he witnesses a brutal murder and begins to undercover a mysterious plot, which has him as suspect number one.
The film stars relative no name actors, Craig Wasson as Jake, Gregg Henry as Sam and Debroah Shelton as the seductive neighbour. The only real name in the movie (other than Dennis Franz who plays a bit part of the b-vampire film director), is Melanie Griffth, who plays a porno superstar named Holly Body, who I must say, looks pretty f*n 80's hot in this movie. The performances aren't great, but not terrible either. They are simply weak at times, and from the start you will feel as if this itself is a low-grade movie, but it doesn't take long for De Palma's talent to kick in and take you away with the strong story. Gripping and terrifying scenes, the voyeristic eroticism, nudity, sometimes brutal violence and even a music video for Frankie Goes To Hollywood's Relax in the middle of the movie, makes this movie a thrill to watch.

Watching the movie I couldn't seem to look away. I was in constant awe of what I was watching. I can't help agree with Roger Ebert in his review of the film when he points out "The movie is so cleverly constructed, with the emphasis on visual storytelling rather than dialogue, that we are neither faster nor slower than the hero as he gradually figures out the scheme that has entrapped him." I found this to be very true and instead of trying to guess on the ending, I just watched to find out the ending. The voyeristic naughtiness throughout the film also seemed to be very effective and you can't help feel somewhat turned on yourself even though you feel like a bit of a pervert yourself. I can't speak for females, but I'm sure you'd find the same excitment...you perverts! There is something about the images you see in Body Heat that commands a certain sexual attention. I'm sure if you find this movie in your DVD player during a date, following the credits, some sexual attention of your own will be met. (The Blob does not gaurentee this however). At numerous points in the movie I said to myself "this movie is so rad." I recall one point in particular I felt somewhat blown away at the genius of De Palma's film. It was the scene when Jake is gone undercover as a porno actor in order to meet Melanie Griffith's character for the first time. De Palma shows the audience the opening scene of the porno as if it was being filmed at that moment, however somewhat different to most porno's, the opening is staged as somewhat of a music video. The scene is tough to explain, but absolutely brilliant in my opinion. This concept which you in the audience is watching a movie in the movie occurs a few times over the course of the film and I find it highly effective and engaging. Its also original for the time. Kudos for originality. The infamous "drill scene" in the film that Patrick Bateman refers to in American Psycho also lives up to its hype as I demonstrated one of my best facial cringes in a while. Like American Psycho, this movie isn't for kids and all kinds of awesome.

However, the film has not gone unscaved with critics. On occasion dubbed as a theft of the "Master of Suspense." I can see why critics would pick Body Double apart for tearing out obvious comparisons to Hitchcock films. For example, the voyerism played out by Jake in Body Double, mirrors that of Jimmy Stuarts character in Rear Window, both characters peering out their back windows into a neighbours personal life and both witnessing a murder. Jake's struggle with claustraphobia in the film is in direct relation to Jimmy Stuarts paralyzing vertigo syndrome he suffers with throughout the movie Vertigo. Another scene that could be seen as comparable is the drill scene vs. the shower scene in Psycho. I could go on really, its not hard to see the parrallels between Body Double and Hitchcock movies, but does it make it a bad movie? I say no and so does Roger Ebert gave it 3 1/2 stars citing it as "an exhilerating excercise in pure filmmaking." Rotten Tomatoes has given it an 85% and although I don't often look on movie critics for their opinions on what to watch, I tend to agree with the majority of them on this one. I love Alfred Hitchcock but I also understand that is pretty damn near impossible to make a suspense movie without ripping him off slightly. So get out of Alfie Hitchcock's ass and watch this movie. I can see why Patrick Bateman watched this film 37 times. An excellent film worthy of my Pick Of The Week! Anyone want to come over and watch it with me again?

BONUS: The opening to the porno/music video mentioned earlier. Frankie Goes To Hollywood provides the soundtrack and this is seriously cut straight from 3/4 through the movie. I love it! If Glee was like this, I'd watch it. Fun Facts:(1)This also acted as FGTH's alternate music video for the single Relax. (2)For Ellis/Bateman fans, notice Jake is wearing Oliver Peoples glasses or close to them. Not so much SFW...(safe for work)

And His Hairy Monkey Palm Began to Caress My Soft Breast

One Country, One Big Impression: Japan Diary #6

So my Japan trip has come to a close. Since it was a little while back I'd be going I'll give you a quick run down of what happened after Nikko.

Returned to Justin's place in Yotsukura to have a few days of relaxation and bike rides to the grocery store. Named my bike Shania since it was yellow, had a sweet basket and overall made me feel like a woman riding it but I didn't mind. Was taken out to dinner by a man named Mr. Niitsuma who was a prominent figure in the community and friends with Justin. In short he was the man, and was extremely welcoming towards me. He brought two bottles of very nice wine and with help from Justin translating taught us about mixing wine and fish. He paid for everything, including the cab ride. Unbelievable and that night will go down in history as not only some of the best food I've ever had, but one of the most enjoyable nights I've had. Went back to Tokyo for a few days to hang out with Dan & Friends. Went out and caught some good pictures/videos of Tokyo including some shopping down in Harajuku, something I didn't really accomplish in the early days of my trip. Fell in love with the best looking girl I've ever seen in my entire life on the train. Our romance lasted 7mins and no words were spoken. Met up with friends for dinner in Shimo-Sitazawa, got smashed and passed out. Hungover and exhausted stumbled my way back the next day to Dan's and napped. Got up, went back out, dinner and drinks again and finished the evening at a bar called Mother in Kabukicho (red light district of Tokyo). It was a pure Rock n' Roll bar and likely the best bar I've ever been to in my life. Hands down. Songs by request, relatively no lighting other than a dim red light illuminating the back of the bar and pen lights to pick your song(s). This place was LOUD, but very chill. Included a man passing out on the floor and a cute Japanese bartender trying to pick him up to take him outside. Gin & Tonic's, Joy Division's Digital and good friends made for an excellent final night out in Japan. Took a packed train back to Kichijoji, Tokyo, went to the store, met up with some of Dan's local skateboarding friends/fans and a Santory whiskey highball (curtesy of one of the guys) and hung out. Flew back home and helped old Japanese people put there things in the overhead compartments and work their entertainment centers.

Overall the trip was unbelieveable. It was what I needed and wished for going over there. It seemed I was over there forever but looking back it was a mere flash. The best element of the entire trip was thanks to my friends I never really felt like a tourist, but more of someone who had just moved there. It was an amazing experience and I don't think I could go back because it wouldn't be as epic. But I'll be back.

So as I was there I noted a number of my impressions in my journal. Here are just a few.

(1) Tokyo Shibuya Station had more people in one place than I'd ever seen in my life. It was a never-ending cycle of faces.

(2) Everyone uses an umbrella. It's rare to see a soaking wet Japanese person.

(3) Extremely friendly, polite and humble people. More pronounced so in the rural areas than the city. Always say "thank you very much," even at convenience stores.

(4) Many ares have no sidewalks so caution of bikes, scooters and cars.

(5) Advertising in Tokyo is absurd. Its everywhere.

(6) Everything is given to you with two hands (eg; Giving a bill back as change is with two hands)

(7) Japanese people can sleep anywhere & anytime. Espeically on the subway/train.

(8) Japanese DO NOT litter. They will carry cigerrette butts around until they find somewhere to dispose of them. It's insane, but sooo great. The city streets are extremely clean and well kept. Ottawa needs to learn from this. The streets of a city estimated over 12 million is about 110% cleaner than the city streets of of 1 million? Its disgusting.

(9) Resturants are more informal but much more effective. Need to flag down your server instead of them coming to you by saying "Sumimasen" which is like "excuse me." No tipping doesn't seem to make any difference to the wait staff. They are still polite and quick.

(10) Drink anytime, anywhere including buses, trains and subways. Walking down the street with a whiskey highball (whiskey soda) was a common practice at times.

(11) No stripclubs, but there are Host clubs and Sex clubs in Kabukicho, which is an experience in itself. Holy hell, what a crazy place.

( 12) Cold green tea is the drink of choice and is found everywhere.

(13) Popular look for young females is to strive to look like a doll. Cute dress, hat etc. Think Anne of Green Gables with a little more fashion sense.

There are more, but you'd have to talk to me in person to get them all. I could go on for hours about it. If you have questions on anything I've talked about, fire off a comment or email and I'll get back to you. And no I did not get a Japanese massage.

Overall I can't even really explain how I felt/feel about Japan and my trip over there. None of the pictures or videos will be able to convey my feelings, emotions or mood of myself and what was around me. I can try to explain and recap my journey, but it won't be as effective as going there yourself. I'll be going back again sometime in my life. Big ups to Justin, Dan, Hanna, Damien, Shuhei, Gota, and all the other people I met there for everything.

Here a picture timeline.

A Discussion of Fornication

Ok so when The Babe and I started this blog it was going to be about every topic we would want to discuss. A topic thread about bear hibernation is not out of the question for example. Some topics are going to be fun, others will be serious. No hold bars as I would put it. A whole lot of nothing to support procrastination or boredom. That's all I ask from myself and The Babe when posting on this. So with that being said, I'm going to now share with you all a conversation I had over a "girl talk," which I had the pleasure to be a part of a few weeks back with 3 lovely ladies (one being The Babe herself). At some point during the talk I gave a lecture on what I like to call The 3 Tiers of Fornication, the differences between them and how you can tell which one you and your partner are partaking in. The 3 tiers are; Sex, Making Love, and F**king. There is no in-between and in most cases its known before one of these acts occurs which you are about to achieve. I bring this topic up to all of you because I'm proud of it, that and it came up again in "Girl Talk #2" last night at a local pub so why not post about it.

!! Before you read any further, be warned, this is about to get a little..uhh...colourful. !!

OK let's begin. As stated earlier, there are 3 various types of "doing it." Sex, Love Making, and F**king. Let's discuss Sex to start. Sex is the most common of the 3 with strangers and couples. Chances are you've participated in the act of "having sex" more than the other 2 depending on your sexual partners. Sex is most common. Its routine. It happens when you're both horny and want to get off and obviously having someone else there to stick or get stuck by is better than the right hand so you proceed to have sex. Nothing wrong with sex...at all. In fact its great. You share pleasure, and in most cases get to see one another naked. Sex normally involves full nudity. Take your clothes off, have sex and roll over and maybe talk or watch the rest of the movie. There is good and bad sex and this is special to this tier of fornication. Unlike Making Love and F**king, there is good sex and there is bad sex and you can normally distinguish between the two easily, espeically if you've had more than 1 partner before. There is such a thing as "okay" sex too. Maybe the dude is playing some weird music and it throws off your rhythm or she's too loud and you get freaked out. Whatever it is, you can come away from sex discribing it as "it was good" or "it was okay." I hope for all of you you don't come away saying "It was bad," but it happens. And ladies, it can be your fault just as much as the guys. If you say you had sex, its pretty much the basics. In the bed, floor or couch. Maybe a chair...maybe. Did you take a guy home and sleep with him? Switch positions a few times and it took place in your bed? you probably had sex. Most drunk ecnounters and one night stands is sex. Depending on your intoxication, its forced to be basic because the more difficult and faster moves are too hard when you can't see straight or even know if the girl is facing you or her back is towards you. Sex is fairly basic, straight forward and fun, but nothing super exciting to write down in your diary or on a blog. Its good and healthy.

Now, Making Love? well that's basically for couples, married people or some fantastic journey of lust where two people have fallen in love, the guy goes to war and he comes back like 10 years later and "make love." Making love is intimate. It involves a lot of holding, caressing, longing, slow movement and not a lot of noise other than the music accompanying this majestic moment of love and tenderness. It can be one of the most intense acts you will have in the bed, or one of the most boring all depending on how you look at it. Another reason to make love? you and your spouse have decided to concieve. Before it comes down to ovulation schedules, or "if we want this kid, I guess we have to do it tonight eh?" you make love. That first time when you've talked about it and both agree you want to try and make baby, you go home from dinner, light candles, put music on, get some oils and strip down in front of one another slowly and then you will proceed to make love. you may do this once more or a few more times, but if you haven't concieved, you will likely go into the routine and have sex instead of make love. Just get the deed done so we can make a kid. See? routine = sex. Nothing really wrong with it, and even if its routine it can still be good, but its just the act. its nothing really more. Making Love is the passionate part. Slow movements and a lot of looking into one another's eyes and saying I Love You a lot with a whisper.

Now you are saying "I love you!" screaming at the top of your lungs while being bent over a table with your skirt still on hiked up to your waist with some dudes manhood being plunged into you with Nine Inch Nails -10,000 playing in the back, then you are getting F**ked (SEE END OF POST FOR SONG). No love, no routine in this. F**king is most of the time spontaneous, fast and rough. You can't F**k without it either hurting a bit or tossing each other around a bit. You may get a bruise or two. I'm not talking punching a guy in the mouth or the tip of his penis, well some of you may like that, but you know, grabbing tightly and vigorously instead of holding or petting. F**king ain't for the weak. Dirty talk plays a big part in F**king too. Words like; pussy, cunt, cock, suck, fuck, baby and bitch can be used quite frequently. F**king = dirty and naughty. Role play normally is involved in F**king, you can't have Sex or Make Love playing out some rape scenerio...that's just weird. Forest Ranger finds you building an illegal fire in an heavily wooded area and he requires you to "pay" for your illegal deeds, I'll tell you right now, you're not about to Make Love. Ever been thrown on a bed and your shirt ripped off and pants torn down to your ankles by some girl wearing red lip stick and tights and she doesn't even bother to take her dress off and just peels the underwear aside (or doesn't even have any one to begin with), just hops right on for the ride? Well first off, you may want to experience this once in your life before you rot in some hole somewhere and secondly, yeah, that's F**king. Pure carnal lust and rage. Couples in a fight and then have rough make-up sex, you're F**king your rage out. Bad day at work and your wife is making asparagus and asks you to try one to see if there is too much sea salt on it and while she hands you one, you bite it furiously and throw her against the fridge and she says "Oh Fred," you're about to F**k her and knock down all the kids hard work spelling out their names with fridge letter magnets. But its worth it. If your spouse says "Oh (insert your name here)" you've got her off guard and you are about to carnal up in her, pardon my vulgarness. Its the most fun because its a change and doesn't happen all too often. It should be hot and you should describe it as such. F**king normally involves new areas you haven't explored during Sex or Love Making. Showers, public parks, cars, alleyways, over desks, over counters, over fences, over a passed out friend are all some examples of hot spots. Its not only with couples, it can totally be with strangers. Just drunken rough, sweaty deeds all over that person's apartment. You wake up and although you've had sex enough, your leg muscles hurt in new and painful ways, this means you likely F**ked.

All three of these tiers of fornication have their fine lines as well. They normally don't bleed into one another. Usually you will perform one. Not many people F**k then Make Love, or are in the middle having Sex and then all of a sudden start to F**k, unless you call the guy a chump or bitch (see you brought a piece of dirty talk in because you're bored). This is an exception to the rule. Another is that may be bleed into is that your Making Love and its not working, not in the mood, CD is skipping or something so you just start to have Sex instead just to finish off and go to bed. There are of course these and other exceptions but I believe my categorizing system is fairly fool-proof. So next time you tell your buddies or your girlfriends "you had sex" with someone, ask your self what you really did do.

This is my own non-professional amateur opinion so if you disagree, feel free to take your words write them down on a peice of paper and make love to that peice of paper. Oil yourself up, light some candles up and throw that Kenny G tape in and make love to that paper. Now that you know the differences, maybe go take someone special to you and try something new. Try calling your partner a bitch while you're on top of them and see what happens! Or rub one out, which ever works for you at this moment and time. And no, masturbation is masturbation. There is no tiers to that so don't overthink it.

P.S. I was listening to this song on repeat while writing this. This is also the most obscure and weird music video ever...

Hot Chip - 'I Feel Better' from kit face on Vimeo.

The song I used as an example to F**K too. This ain't no baby making music.
